#adamandsteve present Ginger Minj

  • Absinthe Hamilton 38 King William Street Hamilton, ON, L8R 3N8 Canada (map)

Long before she held court as a finalist on season 7 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Ginger reigned as The Comedy Queen of The South from her homebase in Orlando, Florida. The self-professed “crossdresser for Christ” cites classic funny ladies Carol Burnett and Lucille Ball as her idols. “Anyone who can pile three wigs on their head, squeeze their body into a beaded and rhinestoned gown and serve humor alongside the glamour is my hero,” says Ginger. That’s why she coined the term “Glamour Toad” to describe her unique persona. She has toured the world, performed showtunes for Broadway royalty on national television and recorded her debut studio album, before competing on season 2 of “RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race. More recently you may have seen Ginger in her iconic role in the Netflix film “Dumplin'” alongside Jennifer Aniston.

We were proud as #HamOnt natives to bring you Hamilton’s first Ru girl back in January, and if you were able to see Thorgy Thor with us, then you know this is going to be one hell of a night.

General admission tickets are $30 (plus fees), with a limited amount of meet and greet tickets available for $50 (plus fees).

Performances will begin at 10:30pm, with the meet and greet occurring after the first 2 sets (around midnight). Ginger will then close the show and the night in the final set!

Ginger will be joined by some of our most special squirrel friends, Karma Kameleon, Beardra and Xtacy Love for an unforgettable show you won’t soon forget.

In between we have the fab Martin LeGuerrier spinning all night to keep your booty shaking, and our gogo dancers keeping you hyped between sets.

We will also be doing our best booty contest while the meet and greet is happening, so there won’t be a dull moment all night long!

*As always, please exercise caution when purchasing tickets online that are not from Scammers are notorious for posting on event pages trying to sell fake tickets to unknowing people and we’ve seen it happen too many times. If someone looks like they have a fake profile, it probably is fake. If you are unsure about buying someone’s tickets, you can send us a message and we can confirm the buyer’s tickets are legit before the transaction is made. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for fake ticket purchases, so please use common sense and due diligence!

**A little more about the space and our philosophy for those who haven’t attended before –

The venue, Absinthe Hamilton, is conveniently located in the middle of downtown #HamOnt, and is a PROUD supporter of Hamilton Pride and the local LGBTQ2 community. Our mutual goal is to create a dance floor that is welcoming and inclusive – a haven for people of all shapes, colours, sizes and orientations.

We believe that every person is entitled to an environment free from hate speech, violence, and predatory or discriminatory behaviours. So, please inform the staff or the organisers if you witness or are on the receiving end of acts of this nature. While the venue’s entrance, dance floor, and bar is wheelchair accessible, we regret that the bathrooms are not.
